The Greatest of These

The Beatles say, "All you need is love..love...love is all you need."

Tina Turner said, "What's love got to do with it?"

But, my favorite saying that has proven itself in my own life is that LOVE

...bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

~I Corinthians 13:7

What an amazing piece of truth to hold on to especially when two months before my wedding day, I was laying on a cold hard surgical room table with the doctor saying I was in heart failure.

What???

I was only 29, working night shift as a nurse, planning my beautiful wedding day to my true love.
My plans were moving along like clockwork.

Needless to say, my true love was right there by my side without missing a beat, saying okay what do we need to do to get you better?

He truly lives out that verse everyday.

He hopes that I get better.

He bears the fact that we can't have a baby.

He endures all the hospital stays, doctors, medicines, tests, fatigue, visits to specialists.

He believes in me to follow my dreams.

He has endured all this right along with me.

...But now faith, hope, love, abide these three, but the greatest of these is love.

Thank you God for your gift of love through my honeybunny!

Now that all that mushy stuff is out of the way, and I'm wiping my tears away while writing this,
let's stroll down memory lane...

Our first date, our official day we became a couple May 25, 2005, and the first time we said "I LOVE YOU!"
YES, we said IT ALL IN CAPITALS, EXCLAMATION POINT!

Lucky girl

Well, it was a million tiny little things that, when you

added them all up, they meant

we were suppose to be together...and I knew it.

I knew it the very first time I touched her.

It was like coming home...only to no home I'd ever known.

I was just taking her hand to help her out of a car and I knew it.

It was like...magic.

Big Happy Dream

What an adventure! And what a way to truly follow your passion in life...

Thank you blue lily for encouraging us to follow our BIG, HAPPY dreams!

I met so many other talented photographers as well at the goPro workshop, everyone was so nice and we really worked well together.
I was afraid that everyone else would already know about starting a photography business, editing, posing, and that I would be so lost.
But I felt so at ease with all the other girls, and one token guy! He was such a good guy.  He carried my purse for me through the park while we were doing a photo shoot.
I forgot that I put it down, and all of a sudden did that whole heart sinking feeling thing that I lost my purse. But then there he was, carrying my white Coach purse saying is this yours?
Um...YES!
Thank you!

If you have that small, little voice in the back of your head saying "I love photography".

GO TO A goPRO WORKSHOP!
(that's all i have to say about that)

Full Happy Heart

I am so, so happy!

I got to meet the blue lilies for a goPro workshop
in Washington, D.C.
along with other amazing people.

I love their photography, and they are such cool people that
travel around the world doing what they love.

This family was so sweet together, and great models!

We met them at a local park in Washington, D.C. The girls were very well behaved, and let all of us get cute photos of them playing in the grass.

What an AMAZING experience!
Thank you Wendy and Tyler for sharing your talent,
being so kind with us slow-learners (me),
and giving us the confidence to GO PRO.

When I stand before God at the end of my life,
I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left,
and could say,
"I used everything you gave me".
